Student Coded Games...READY!

Hi Families!

We hope you're all doing well. Below are the schedules for this week and an overview of what's happening in our classes.

1. Schedules & Hybrid/ Distance Learning Expectations:

2. Optional 1:1 Student Support Friday:

  • We offer 1:1 support on Fridays

  • This time can be used for extra support with an assignment, going over a missed lesson, checking in assignments, creating a plan for additional work/challenge options, just to talk and get to know each other better, whatever they need

  • Here is the link to sign up

3. What's happening in class:

Math/Science -

Math:

  • We are learning about linear equations for our MUN Trade War game because we have introduced missiles into the game.

[Computer] Science

  • Students have finished designing, creating and coding their game. Please check them out on our website.

Humanities -

  • A Rock's Tale Project - This week, students will begin working on their object poem. Check out the Project Overview here.

Art -

  • A Rock's Tale Project - Students will create the first iteration of their Mandala for our project. This iteration will focus on color.

4. Upcoming events/ reminders

  • Monday 5/31 - No School (Memorial Day)

Hola familias! Esperamos que todos estén bien. A continuación se muestran los horarios de esta semana y una visión general de lo que está sucediendo en nuestras clases.

Matemáticas:

  • Estamos aprendiendo sobre ecuaciones lineales para nuestro juego MUN Trade War porque hemos introducido misiles en el juego.

[Computación] Ciencias

  • Los estudiantes han terminado de diseñar, crear y codificar su juego. Échales un vistazo en nuestro sitio web.

Humanidades -

  • Proyecto "A Rock's Tale" - Esta semana, los estudiantes comenzarán a trabajar en su poema objeto. Consulte la Descripción general del proyecto aquí (Project Overview)

Arte -

  • Proyecto "A Rock's Tale" - Los estudiantes crearán la primera iteración de su Mandala para nuestro proyecto. Esta iteración se centrará en el color.
